send SMS with no reception silently fails

Description

I have sent some SMSs that friends have said they have not received. This has been while i have been in areas of poor reception, so i suspect that the sending failed, and i was not notified.

This has been with SHR-u. I have not switched to SHR-t, but not had a chance to test.
